Our Impact in Bosconia, Colombia

In our recent mission trip to Bosconia, Colombia, Rosa and I experienced firsthand how technology can inspire hope, creativity, and progress in communities that have long been left behind in the digital era. What began as a small effort to introduce youth and educators to modern tools has quickly grown into a vision of lasting transformation.

Empowering Teachers to Embrace Technology

Rosa led impactful workshops for local school teachers, equipping them with practical digital skills to enhance their classroom experience. Her training sessions focused on how technology can support teaching, communication, and student engagement—skills that will continue to benefit hundreds of students throughout the region.

Teachers learned how to use digital presentations, manage online materials, and integrate new tools into their daily lessons. For many of them, it was their first time working with such technology, and their excitement was contagious.

Inspiring Youth Through Hands-On Learning

While Rosa worked with teachers, I spent time with the youth, showing them how to operate and control a high-quality drone. Together, we practiced flight operations, camera angles, and responsible drone usage.

This hands-on activity wasn’t just about flying a drone, it was a way to build confidence and curiosity among students who rarely have access to modern technology. By giving them a glimpse into how drones are used in media, science, and innovation, we helped them see new possibilities for their own futures.

We also donated the drone and a projector to the school, empowering them to use these tools for promotional events, presentations, and community projects. These devices will allow the school to showcase their students’ achievements and connect with supporters in new and creative ways.

Looking Ahead: Teaching AI Basics in 2026

Our work in Bosconia is only the beginning. As part of our 2026 goals, Kids Teck Inc plans to return to Colombia to launch AI and Computer Literacy Workshops. These sessions will introduce young learners to foundational concepts in artificial intelligence, preparing them to participate in the global digital economy.

By blending faith, education, and technology, we’re building bridges between opportunity and potential—helping children and teachers in Bosconia move from learning about technology to creating with it.
